Today we’re making one of my all time favourite soups, the cream of chicken soup also known as the perfect Keto chicken soup. It’s creamy, chicken-y and delicious. It’s great as a meal itself and it’s high in fats and taste. Will definitely help you hit your fat macros. Keto Chicken Soup

Cream of Chicken Soup

Ingredients
  

Instructions
 

  • Chop the chicken into smal pieces and season with salt, pepper, dried oregano and cayenne pepper
  • Melt the butter in the saucepan with the olive oil
  • Fry the spring onion white and the celery stalk (chopped)
  • Add in the chicken and cook
  • Mince or chop the garlic and add it in. Also add the green part of the spring onion
  • Once the garlic is starting to brown add in the chicken stock and water
  • Check for seasoning and bring to a gentle boil
  • Turn off the heat and add the cream and celery leaves/parsley
  • Serve.

  1. I’ve been making soups all week because it’s cold. Even in Florida USA I’ve been wanting to make cream of chicken soup without cheating and using Campbell’s canned soup?. Thank you!

    1. It seems to be fine according to the macros so go ahead and give it a go. Though for soup I would recommend trying coconut cream as an alternative.

    1. Yeah you probably can in some, really depends what the recipe is. The thing is those canned soups have tons of flour and stuff which might serve a purpose in some recipes.

    1. I have never tried that. If you do it, let us know how it turned out. I mean it’s fine to freeze in separate portions. I just don’t know how the blending will work.
